COVID-19 – Policies and Procedures

COVID-19 – Policies and Procedures 2022-11-30T19:12:30+00:00
  • Essential Visitors ONLY – in order to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission we ask that only one parent/guardian attend the appointment with the client (no siblings).
  • Face coverings – all clients and essential visitors will be asked to bring and wear their own mask for the duration of their visit at Butterfly (children under 2 years of age are not required to wear a mask but for children of any age we can only do our best to encourage it, it is not mandatory). Therapists will be wearing masks and possibly face shields.
  • Hand Hygiene – all clients, essential visitors and staff will wash their hands prior to and after each session with hand soap and water in the washroom or hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer will be available at each treatment area and at the front door as you leave.
  • Physical Distancing – obviously this is not possible with your treating therapist, however we ask that you stay at least 2 metres apart from other therapists and families on site.
  • Process for Booking Appointments – please book with your therapist directly at the time of the appointment or call 905-206-0300 or email info@butterflytherapy.com in order to book with our Client Experience Team.
  • No waiting area – we ask that families arrive on time for their appointment and text or email their therapist. Therapists will come to unlock the door, review the screen and take you directly into the treatment area.
  • Washroom – we recommend limited use by clients and essential visitors, babies can be changed in treatment areas.
  • Payment – We ask that payment be made by credit card on file. Receipts will be emailed to you once processed. Please provide this information at your initial visit.
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting – all treatment areas will be cleaned and disinfected prior to and after each client interaction, all toys and equipment used in a session will be cleaned and disinfected thoroughly using Health Canada approved products.
  • If you feel sick – STAY HOME.
  • Virtual Therapy (telehealth) – all of the therapists at Butterfly are offering this service and it has proven to be a successful alternative to in-centre care for many appropriate children. Butterfly will continue to offer virtual services. Virtual services may be recommended for your child by their therapist.
