Butterfly supports children 0-18 years of age who fall within any of the following categories. Children who/with:
- Diagnosis of special needs that require Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists including but not limited to Hypoxic Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Fragile X, Spina Bifida, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Developmental Delay, Developmental Coordination Disorder
- Orthopaedic issues, such as positional plagiocephaly, congenital muscular torticollis, or repetitive strain type sports injuries
- Concussion, post-concussion syndrome or traumatic brain injury
- Are at risk for delays in development such as premature babies; or who are not meeting their developmental milestones
- Birth related complications like brachial plexus injuries and shoulder dystonia
- Neurological or orthopaedic injuries caused by a motor vehicle accident
- Are having feeding difficulties
- Learning difficulties
- Challenges with fine motor skills including printing and handwriting and activities of daily living including dressing and using utensils
- Have had surgery or procedures such as botox, serial casting, or constraint-induced casting
- Speech production difficulties including articulation, motor speech or phonology delays and dysfluency disorders (stuttering)
- Social communication difficulties including diagnosed or suspected Autism and selective mutism
- Delays in use and/or comprehension of language
