Health and Safety Policies and Procedures

  • Essential Visitors ONLY– in order to reduce the risk of transmission of seasonal colds and flus we ask that only one or two parents/guardians attend the appointment with the client (no siblings).
  • Face coverings– as of Monday May 1, 2023 face coverings will be optional for all clients and essential visitors to Butterfly. Therapists will also have the option of wearing a face covering.  Should you feel more comfortable with your therapist wearing a face covering please do not hesitate to ask, we will be happy to oblige.
  • Hand Hygiene– all clients, essential visitors and staff will wash their hands prior to and after each session with hand soap and water in the washroom or hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer will be available at each treatment area and at the front door as you leave.
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting– all treatment areas will be cleaned and disinfected prior to and after each client interaction, all toys and equipment used in a session will be cleaned and disinfected thoroughly using Health Canada approved products.
  • If you feel sick – STAY HOME.
  • Process for Booking Appointments– please book with your therapist directly at the time of the appointment or with the Client Experience team on-site.  You can also call or email the Client Experience Team at either site.
  • Payment– We ask that payment be made by credit card on file. Receipts will be emailed to you once processed. Please provide this information at your initial visit.
  • Virtual Therapy (telehealth)– all of the therapists at Butterfly are offering this service and it has proven to be a successful alternative to in-centre care for many appropriate children. Butterfly will continue to offer virtual services. Virtual services may be recommended for your child by their therapist.
