Every child receives a comprehensive assessment during their initial visit with a speech-language pathologists at our clinics in Mississauga, Burlington, and Oakville.
For young children, while we aim to complete standardized testing whenever possible, assessments are often play-based to ensure comfort, engagement, and accurate results.
For older children, a formal standardized speech and language assessment is typically completed, along with parent interviews and observations across different settings.
Following the assessment, results will be provided and a treatment plan will be designed to meet the individual needs of the child and their family.
