Butterfly is re-opening Monday June 8, 2020. Please note that we are still REQUIRED to limit the number of in-person visits for the safety of staff, clients and families. Therapists are taking close consideration of which services should continue to be provided remotely and which can safely resume in-person. Please refer to our Special Programs page to review our NEW Policies and Procedures surrounding COVID-19.

The Six F-Words for Childhood Disability

The Six F-Words for Childhood Disability

Here at Butterfly Paediatric Therapy, we always want to ensure that our clients and their families feel our “family centered approach”; so we are constantly educating ourselves on how best to do this. As of the new year, we will be working to implement the “F-words in childhood disability” into each of our practices.

The “F-words in childhood disability” is a concept that focuses on 6 areas of childhood development – including: fitness, function, friends, family, fun, and future. This framework ensures all our practitioners take a holistic approach to treating each of our clients with every aspect of their development in mind.  To learn more about the “F-words in childhood disability”, we have posted a few posters around our clinic for your reading purposes; but feel free to ask any of our practitioners about it if you have any questions.
